National Judges List Application

• Establish high standards for judges at National Holstein Shows.
  
• Provide a list of judges who are highly capable of judging at all levels of Holstein shows, and encourage shows to select judges from the list.
  
• Improve exposure for those on our Judges List by offering an enhanced profile; an optional one-page summary including the judges’ name, phone number, email address, photo, and bio.

• Once a new or updated National Judges List application is submitted, it will remain active for five years, provided the applicant has attended a Judges Conference within that same five-year period.

• New applicants who have not previously been on the National or Approved Show Judges Lists must submit a fully completed application for consideration. It is important to provide a complete and accurate list of judging assignments, as part of the selection process is based on both the caliber and number of shows judged.

• Repeat applicants may use the same application form, but only need to list any NEW shows judged since their last submission. They may also update their photo, bio, and top five judging experiences. Updating the application extends the active application status for another five years.

• Applicants must have attended and received a “satisfactory” rating at a Holstein Association USA Judges Conference within a five-year period to be considered for inclusion on the Judges List. • Applicants must be current Holstein Association USA members.

• The National Judges List application window for new applications and updates runs from April 1 to June 1.

• All applicants will be reviewed.

• All approved applicants will need to have a significant resume of experience at regional, state or local shows of varying caliber and breeds. As well as maintain a high level of professionalism both in and out of the showring.

• The Judges List is divided into two categories – National and Approved. Those who have judged a State Open Holstein show or higher will be accepted onto the National Judges List.

• The Judges List will be approved by the Holstein Association USA board of directors and published on the Holstein Association USA web site by the first week in August.

List the Holstein shows you have judged within the past ten years, ranking them by prominence or significance in your judging career. For each show, include the year, location, and indicate whether it was an open and/or junior show.

Please note that applicants will be evaluated in part based on the caliber and number of shows listed below.

You may include color-breed shows in your biographical sketch on the following page if desired.

Please list your top five judging experiences, ranked in order of significance.

THIS APPLICATION CONSTITUTES AN AGREEMENT, CERTIFICATION, AND WARRANTY BY THE APPLICANT THAT I HAVE READ, FULLY UNDERSTAND, AND ACCEPT ALL BYLAWS, RULES, AND REGULATIONS OF HOLSTEIN ASSOCIATION USA, INC., INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE HOLSTEIN ASSOCIATION USA JUDGES CODE OF CONDUCT AND ETHICS AND SHOWRING POLICY, AND THAT I WILL COMPLY WITH THEM.

I understand that failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct or Showring Policy may result in my removal from the Holstein Association National Judges List or Approved Judges List.

I further acknowledge and agree that:
(1) I am bound by and will act in accordance with the Bylaws, rules, and regulations of Holstein Association USA, Inc., including, without limitation, the Showring Policy;
(2) I will accept any decision of the Board of Directors of Holstein Association USA, Inc. regarding the National Judges List and Approved Judges List; and
(3) I agree to hold Holstein Association USA, Inc. and its officials, directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents harmless for any action taken under said Bylaws, rules, and regulations.

(1) the application information is true and correct; and
(2) I am bound by this Agreement, Certification, and Warranty.
